David's first medical training was as a Medic in the army. He continued his pursuit of medical knowledge with training as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) in a rural area in Utah. Dave worked for almost 20 years as a professional ski patrolman. He returned to school after being accepted to the "Physician Assistant Program" at University of Utah. His training and lifework in medicine have been in primary care (preventive medicine).
Dave and his wife moved to the gorge in 1994 to enjoy the ample outdoor activities in the area. They continue to enjoy windsurfing, skiing, running and hiking. They now have two children that are enjoying the beauty and activities of the area.
