Mid-Columbia Medical Center was the first Oregon hospital, and today is one of only seven in the state, to be accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) for its Breast Center. We have been continuously accredited since September 24, 2009.
MCMC’s program offers a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to breast health that uses comprehensive services, expertise and resources. By integrating screening, early diagnosis, patient advocacy and treatment, The Breast Center at MCMC offers important resources for women along the entire health spectrum.
To earn accreditation, a breast health program must show a commitment to education, research, continuous quality improvement, community outreach and professional education. It also must provide access to comprehensive breast health resources, including education and support services, screening and diagnostic technology and medical and surgical expertise.
