Biography
The aspect of mentally and physically helping solve complex problems drew Dr. Moon to become a surgeon, but he felt pulled toward medicine at a young age while seeing members of his family work as doctors. Dr. Moon moved to Oregon from the Midwest after training in a larger community. He has since practiced his entire 24-year-career in The Dalles, and very much enjoys living in a small town.
Dr. Moon has two children, born and raised in The Gorge, and spends most of his free time with them. Otherwise, he enjoys outdoor activities, such as kite boarding, hiking, tennis and occasionally skiing. Dr. Moon’s surgical interests include gastrointestinal disorders and endoscopy, colon and rectal disorders, arterial vascular and venous disorders, carpal tunnel surgery and laparoscopic hernia repair.
