Becky Hudson is a primary care provider at MCMC Family Medicine. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support certified.
After receiving her B.S. in Nursing from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Hudson worked as a registered nurse at Legacy Good Samaritan in Portland, where she worked as a charge nurse and specialized in OrthoNeuro, a medical-surgical discipline that focuses on neuro-musculoskeletal care.
She also led the Patient and Family Engagement Council for multiple inpatient units, raising patient experience scores to the best reviewed inpatient units at the hospital.
Hudson received her Master of Nursing from OHSU in the Family Nurse Practitioner program. She continued her studies at OHSU, where she also received her Doctor of Nursing Practice.
While studying for her Doctor of Nursing, she provided healthcare to low-income individuals at OHSU family medicine clinics in Richmond and Scappoose. She also worked with patients of all ages and health conditions at Chemawa Indian Health Center and Mid-Columbia Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Clinic.
During a clinical rotation at MCMC, Hudson fell in love with the Gorge’s people, scenery and endless opportunities for adventure. She has been practicing at MCMC since 2016. Her general practice focus is on primary care and family medicine.
She enjoys listening to and connecting with patients. She takes a holistic approach to healthcare, considering mind, body and spirit. She takes the time to hear each patient’s thoughts and difficulties and enjoys helping people maintain health and prevent illness.
In her free time, Hudson enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, hiking and exploring new places.
She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Medical Surgical Nursing Association.
